But among the more heartening and broadly applicable lessons of this campaign is that supporting a misguided, but politically expedient, war in 2002 turns out to have been a serious mistake. It was a mistake for Clinton, and a mistake for candidates like Edwards and Biden, who couldn't claim prescience. Hopefully, future politicians will keep that in mind.
